Flourishing Mind & Soul

About
Flourishing Fem LLC
My interest in women specific mental health was took flight in 2017 when my husband and I realized we were experiencing infertility and embarked on our treatment journey. It was such a difficult time in my life as well as in our marriage, from finding out that we needed help to become pregnant, to needing surgeries and many other procedures, it was life altering. In our case we were lucky and I was able to sustain a pregnancy.
As we navigated through my "geriatric pregnancy" ,dealt and gestational diabetes, and then experienced the complexities of the postpartum period, I became acutely aware of the critical need for support during these significant and life moments as well.
After the birth of my only child. We tried to conceive again but the universe had other ideas. A chemical pregnancy helped us make the decision to stop trying and I got a hysterectomy due to a very large fibroid tumor that was causing a world of problems for me. During the recovery I made the important decision to realign my professional practice with my evolving priorities and experiences.
Our experiences had shed light on the emotional and physical challenges that many women and couples face, and it became clear to that they require compassionate care from professionals who truly understand their situations and have the training for treatment tailored to their needs.
Since then my individual practice has been focused on providing informed evidence based care to the general public but specializing in women's mental health and supporting couples through the experience of infertility and the postpartum period
