I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of NJ with privileges in telehealth in the state of Florida. My Specialization is treating women and couples with infertility issues, perinatal mental health, and menopausal mental health. While my focus in one women's mental health I also treat individuals with general mental health issues.

Post Master's Training

A majority work experience and additional training was done in an inpatient and outpatient hospital setting. There I learned evidence based techniques in Motivational interviewing, CBT, CT-R, Cognitive Remediation, DBT, and Mindfulness based approaches. This experience gave me the expertise to treat many general mental health needs.

After my time at the Hospital  I acquired extensive knowledge in women's, focusing on infertility counseling, postpartum care, perinatal mental health, and menopause. 

 

Training under Sharon Covington through her 10 month course I developed a understanding of the process and procedures related to infertility as well  intense emotions tied to infertility. The training further educated  me in understanding and treating mental health aspects of this journey provides vital support to clients facing these experiences.

 

Perinatal Mental Health through PSI emphasized the significant hormonal impacts on mental health postpartum, as well as the substantial life changes that occur during the perinatal and postnatal phase. Those phases effect both parents and can lead to significant changes in mood.

 

 Menopause training a 12 week intensive were I explored both the physical and mental health challenges women encounter during menopause equipping me to deliver comprehensive care throughout this important transition.

My specialized trainings grant me access to  a network of providers and organizations dedicated to the health and wellbeing of women. They help me to stay current and enable my continued learning  to support my clients.

Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Gerontology from Stockton University  2005

 Master's Degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Chestnut Hill College in 2011

Post Graduate studies for State Licensure at Monmouth University  2012 

My Post Graduate 4,500 hours were under the supervision of Deana Aldi LCSW in an inpatient hospital setting
